Raluca Nagy joined the University of Sussex Asia Centre in 2015, as Research Associate. She has a background in economics, anthropology and sociology and her main research interests are healthcare and mobilities. She has published over 30 chapters in edited volumes and articles in refereed journals, currently writing a comparative analysis of mobilities based on three case studies in Europe and Asia. Her present regional focus is Japan, and she is coordinating a monthly curated series on mobility fluxes into and out of Japan for the Society for East Asian Anthropology’s column in Anthropology News. Raluca has also been, since 2009, Scientific Associate at the Laboratoire d’anthropologie des mondes contemporains, a research centre of the Free University of Brussels, where she did her doctoral research.
